Hair Loss Affects Millions
Unfortunately, it's a fact of life. At birth, we have all the hair follicles we'll ever have. As we age, many of those follicles weaken and stop producing hair, causing thinning, a receding hairline, and baldness. Hair loss can be viewed as a natural part of aging for some, while others may find it traumatizing. Hair loss is a rather personal experience that can result in low self-esteem and low self-confidence. Many feel helpless, but it doesn't have to be that way anymore.
Most causes of hair loss, even hereditary, are treatable conditions. The goal is to start some kind of therapy during the early stages of hair loss before the follicles are permanently lost. There are a variety of methods to nourish and support our follicles, but compliance is the key to achieving results. Remember, we are fighting the aging process so this is an ongoing effort.
Hair Coach

Dr. Bauman has treated over 20,000 patients in his 20+ years of practice and has imparted his wisdom and research to Dr. Leonardo's practice. As such, Dr. Leonardo has received specialized training in advanced detection methods that will allow you to begin preserving your hair before anyone can even notice it thinning. Dr. Leonardo can also recommend treatment protocols or even prescribe specialized medicines to stimulate hair growth and maintain follicular and scalp health.
Nonprocedural Treatment Options
Dr. Bauman has several products that you may order directly, but Dr. Leonardo would be happy to assist you in deciding which products may be best for your hair care needs. Prices are in USD. If you are a Canadian customer, you may contact Dr. Leonardo as he may be able to get you a better deal if it is a product that he can order in bulk.
Monotherapy
A multimodal approach is often best if your budget allows. However, you can still benefit from one type of therapy. Choose from Shampoos/Conditioners, Nutraceuticals, Low Level Laser Therapy, and Topical Pharmaceuticals. The results of most therapies are not apparent until 6 months after treatment. Be persistent with therapy for your best chance of improvement.
Topical Pharmaceuticals: 82M & 82F
These products are only available for our U.S. clients as the product is compounded by MasterPharm which is based in Garden City, New York. You will require a prescription for the topical formulas. Dr. Leonardo still maintains an active NYS Medical License. Consultation can be conducted over the phone, email, or via Skype. Dr. Leonardo is able to prescribe similar compounds for his Canadian clients.
82M & 82F are prescription formulas for hair regrowth that are an alternative to the over-the-counter (OTC) generic minoxidil or Rogaine brand. Many patients have issues with OTC minoxidil because it is relatively weak and difficult to use as it may also cause skin irritation and is difficult with hairstyling. 82M & 82F is an alternative that has addressed those common complaints. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
Red light therapy is a well-known accepted treatment for hair follicle stimulation. Most products on the market are too weak, cover a small treatment area, or require too much of a time commitment. Dr. Bauman has a line of products that addresses each of these shortcomings: the Capillus Laser Cap. These cordless caps have low level laser diodes imbedded within the cap so it can be worn around the house or your office as you receive treatment which is only 6 minutes daily. They come in a variety of laser diode quantities (82, 202, 272, and 312): the more diodes, the more expensive, but better results.
