What is Vampire Breast Lift®

The Vampire Breast Lift® is the name of a registered technique using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to enhance the cleavage of the breasts by causing tissue growth and a subsequent lift.

How does Vampire Breast Lift® Work?

Vampire procedures are named as such since we harvest your platelets in high concentration from your own blood. This is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Platelets contain growth factors and other chemicals that stimulate growth of breast tissue and rejuvenate other parts of the body. Platelets induce chemotaxis and attract stem cells to the site in injection. Stem cells can differentiate into any tissue type. Here, we are growing new breast tissue. Platelets also stimulate the body to form new blood vessels to support the newly formed tissue.

How is the Procedure Performed?

After thorough consultation and examination, topical local anesthetic is applied to the skin in the area of the cleavage. 120mL of Blood is drawn typically from the arm and processed in a high quality double spin PRP centrifuge to allow for maximal platelet concentration and yield. While the blood is being processed, the local anesthesia is numbing the injection sites. After a minimum numbing period of 20min, the injection sites are cleansed and disinfected. The PRP is activated with CaCl₂, meaning the platelets are stimulated to release their contents i.e. growths factors and cytokines. Aliquots of PRP are injected into the breast tissue.

What are the Aftercare Instructions?

Keep the injection sites clean. Avoid harsh skincare products, saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, strenuous activities, heavy lifting, and excessive sun exposure for 72hrs. These precautions help minimize infection risks and the possibility of prolonged bruising and swelling. Avoid NSAIDs e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc. for a minimum of 2 weeks so as not to counter the effects of the PRP.

When Can I Expect to See Results?

You will notice increased volume immediately due to injection of the PRP and swelling. Once the fluid is absorbed your size will return to baseline after a few days. Tissue building begins on the 2nd week and continues for a few months. Typically the end result is visible after 4 months so a follow up appointment is scheduled to review before and after photos.

How Often Do I Need to Repeat Treatment?

The Vampire Breast Lift® tends to last over 18-24 months in some individuals but results will vary. You may repeat at 12-18 months or sooner.

Am I a Good Candidate?

As with any aesthetic medical procedure, ideal candidates are generally healthy, nonsmokers with mild to moderate age-related changes. Those with more breast tissue than others tend to respond better to the Vampire Breast Lift®. Those with a flat chest lacking volume, know as a Snoopy Dog Ear Deformity, will not respond well to treatment.
