What is CO₂ Lift®?

CO₂ Lift® is a professional grade, noninvasive, topical form of carboxytherapy which was traditionally an injection technique used to deliver CO2 underneath the skin to improve blood flow, oxygenation, and skin nourishment. The delivery of carbon dioxide triggers a physiologic cascade of enhanced oxygenation, improvement in the microcirculation, and up regulation of tissue regeneration. This treatment requires no needles, ablation, or thermal disruption, and offers minimal to no downtime - making it ideal for both standalone skin rejuvenation protocols and adjunctive use in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic interventions.

CO₂ Lift® PRO and CO₂ Lift® V are both topical carboxytherapy. The former is used primarily on the face and various parts of the body, while the latter is specifically geared towards the vagina and even the rectum.

How does CO₂ Lift® Work?

Carboxytherapy introduces CO₂ underneath the skin. The body perceives the treatment area to be hypoxic and as a response, vasodilates arteries and capillary beds to improve circulation which increases oxygen content, hydration, and nutrient delivery. A high CO₂ content makes the unloading of oxygen from hemoglobin more favourable. This is known as the Bohr Effect. Conversely, a high oxygen content makes the binding of oxygen to hemoglobin more favourable as seen in the lungs.

What Are The Various Conditions CO₂ Lift® V Can Treat?

CO₂ Lift® V is a cosmeceutical which can be used for various medical conditions. It is anti-inflammatory but does not contain corticosteroids which makes it ideal for treating inflammatory skin conditions without the risk of skin atrophy from corticosteroids.

CO₂ Lift® V has been used to treat the following: Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), Vaginal Dryness, Irritation, Itching, Dyspareunia, Pain or Bleeding with Sexual Activity, Female Stress Urinary Incontinence, Lichen Sclerosis, Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO), Anal Fissures, nonteaching Ulcers, necrosis recovery from Vascular Occlusion, and more.

CO₂ Lift® V promises improvement in natural lubrication, circulation, vaginal tightening, cosmetic appearance, functionality, sensation in the area, and restoration of the vaginal lining, in addition to decreased pain during intercourse. CO₂ Lift® V is also a great treatment option for anal fissures and tears allowing for expedited healing, recovery, and repair from trauma. In general, O₂ Lift® V can be used to make the anus and rectum more inviting for intercourse.

How do I apply CO₂ V®?

Empty the contents of the large packet (pink gel) into a small bowl. Add the contents of the small packet (white substance). Mix for 1 minute making sure no solid white chunks remain before applying. Use the applicator stick to assist in filling the smooth ended syringe. Eliminate air from the syringe by holding the tip upwards and injecting the air out. Attempt to fill more product into the syringe. Insert the smooth ended syringe into the vagina or rectum and inject the contents. Smear the remainder of the product on the labia or the anus. Keep CO₂ Lift® V on for at least 45min.

After 45min, CO₂ Lift® V's texture changes from a gel to something similar to a membrane. Remove the product. You may use the applicator stick to scrape the product off the skin. If the product flakes off, the application of the product on that area was too thin and not therapeutic. You may use the syringe to douche out the product from the vagina using tap water. You may defecate the product from the rectum. Wash the remaining product off of the skin.

How Frequently Do I Need CO₂ Lift® V Treatment?

For general improvement in skin quality, glow, and hydration, a loading dose of 3 treatments (1 treatment daily for 3 consecutive days) is required. Thereafter, once monthly treatment is sufficient. There is no harm in repeating treatments sooner.

If a specific condition is being addressed e.g. Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), Dyspareunia, Pain or Bleeding with Sexual Activity, Female Stress Urinary Incontinence, Lichen Sclerosis, Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO), and Anal Fissures, more treatments are required for the loading dose. It could be anywhere from 6-10 or even more depending on the severity of the condition. Once desired results have been obtained, once monthly dosing is sufficient.
